Heritage

Core Values

The Core Values of Heritage shape who we are and give us direction as we move into the future. These Biblical values define us as a congregation and shape us as we seek to grow into our vision of making our relationship with Christ the most important thing in our lives as we live together as a Christian community. These core values help us Connect, Grow and Go as followers of Christ.

Hospitality  •

“Always be eager to practice hospitality.” - Romans 12:13

Intentionally reaching out to welcome and embrace others into the life of our congregation.

Evangelical Beliefs

“Defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.” - Jude 1:3

We hold the Bible as our authority for faith and practice and believe the doctrines of the Apostles’ Creed.

Reaching out in Mission •

“Go and make disciples of all nations” - Matthew 28:19

Mission begins at home and extends to all the world. We are called to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ by intentionally seeking to spread the Good News of Christ.

Intentional Discipleship

“The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” - 2 Timothy 2:2

We seek to build fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through teaching, serving and worship. Our call is to make disciples who know their beliefs and love Christ-like lives.

The Family •

“Impress God’s commands on your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up. - Deuteronomy 6:7

The family is the key to God’s plan. We value ministry to children, youth and adults. We seek to build strong marriages, strong families and a strong church to minister to married and single alike.

Authentic Worship

“God is spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” - John 4:24

Worship is how we weekly acknowledge the Holiness and greatness of God. Whether the format is traditional or contemporary, our goal is to help you truly worship God each week.

Generosity

“God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7

We seek to reflect the extravagant and generous love of God through our actions as a church. We express God’s love through kind words, helpful deeds, service to others and monetary sacrifice, as we seek to participate in building God’s Kingdom on Earth.

Everyone in Ministry •

“As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” - Ephesians 4:16

God calls every believer to find their meaningful ministry. Helping people find their place of service is a vital part of who we are a church that makes disciples for Jesus Christ.
