BUILDING A LASTING LEGACY: FINDING YOUR GOD-GIVEN PURPOSE

What if the biggest thing God wants to do in your life doesn't come with a spotlight but a blueprint? The purpose of life is clear: to know God, glorify Him, and enjoy a relationship with Him forever.

Some of the most powerful callings don't need a spotlight; they happen in quiet moments through faithful steps and intentional choices that only God sees.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE CHOSEN BY GOD?

You were chosen on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose. God handcrafted your personality, story, and strengths for something beyond your current title, age, or season.

Before you were born, God had already planned meaningful work for you to step into, as stated in Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

HOW DO YOUR GIFTS MATTER IN GOD'S KINGDOM?

Looking at Exodus 31:3, we see God fills people with His spirit, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and various skills. To utilize these gifts effectively:

-   Spend time with God who created you

-   Invest in Bible study and worship

-   Be honest in prayer about your life

-   Use your gifts to make a difference for God's kingdom

Your gifts aren't just for personal use - they're kingdom material meant to point others to God.

Why is Obedience Critical for Building Legacy?

Legacy is built through obedience, not applause. It's not about being remembered by name but building something that lasts beyond your lifetime. In a world chasing followers and recognition, God seeks the faithful who:

-   Build when no one's watching

-   Love when it's not easy

-   Stay obedient even when it's unpopular

The real question isn't "Will people remember me?" but "Will my life point people to Jesus?"

LIFE APPLICATION

To build a lasting legacy, focus on these key actions:

-   Embrace Your Assignment

-   Accept that you don't have to do everything

-   Stop comparing your calling to others

Ask God daily: "What do you want me to do with what you've given me?"

KEEP BUILDING WITH GOD

Take faithful steps even when you can't see the whole path. Use your gifts to make a difference. Trust that your impact will last longer than you imagine.

THINK IT OVER

-   What unique gifts has God given you that you're not fully utilizing?

-   Are you being faithful in your current assignment, or comparing yourself to others?

-   How can you take one step this week toward building something that will outlast you?

-   What would it look like to fully embrace your God-given purpose?

The work God is doing in your life right now is just the beginning. Stay faithful in your calling, whether big or small, and trust that He is building something lasting through you.
